Leigh Gallagher’s book, The End of the Suburbs: Where the American Dreams is Moving highlights about the core issues which leads to the ending of suburbs. The core accomplishment is the book cover which portrays bold and a red sign which sticks from a suburban roadway with clear writings “The END of the SUBURBS.” This visual statement in the board provokes some curiosity. The book unveils some concrete arguments such as poverty increment and demographic shift as the core reasons behind the ending of the suburbs. The core points in the book are that the demographic change depicts a slow growth rate in the suburbs while a faster growth rate in the cities. There is also shrinking household in the suburbs. The building permits have also increased in the cities while shrinking in the suburbs.
