Write a one – page summary that clearly and concisely describes a company’s social media guidelines (detailed below) so that it can and is likely to be used by rank – and – file employees to guide them in official and personal use of electronic communications. Your summary should identify any holes in the guidelines and suggest an appropriate solution(s). Overview of the Assignment Many companies have rules governing how employees should use social media, both in and ou t of the office, but often they are too long, cumbersomely worded and lacking in common – sense, easy – to – use rules of thumb. Your assignment is to revise and improve existing social media guidelines for a given organization (detailed below) into 1 page of e ssential information that is employee – friendly in terms of language, length, and clarity (i.e., so it is more likely they will actually read, understand and follow the guidelines). Note that you should clearly delineate between appropriate office and perso nal use of social media so that the boundary and appropriate behaviors are clear.
