Introduction
In this assignment you will have an opportunity to select and compare similar hardware or software from two vendors. The assignment will span several weeks. In Week 03 you will select your topic, begin research, and gather notes on the two equipment vendors. In Week 05 you will write up your findings, post them to the group discussion board, and then evaluate the findings of your other group members. (As a correlating assignment in Weeks 05 to 07, you will develop [within your assigned group] and submit to your instructor a three to four-page group equipment purchase recommendation paper.)
For the Vendor Comparison assignment, write a brief (two to three page) report comparing the same equipment from two vendors (see vendors below).
Choose only one of the three following equipment options (1) Digital Imaging systems, (2) Image Manipulation Capabilities and Processing software (i.e., MUSICA, EVP, UNIQUE, etc.) (3) PACS/RIS systems. The information can be gathered through internet searches, reviewing equipment manuals at your place of employment, or by using the suggested resources below. (If you are employed in a modality other than radiography, this assignment could also be completed by comparing equipment in your modality of employment that does relate to radiography, i.e., PACS/RIS.) Be as descriptive as you can for the best comparison. The final portion of your report should be compare/contrast statements or tables about the equipment for each vendor. Choose any two vendors to compare/contrast. The following is merely a list of commonly known vendors, but you may choose any two for comparison:

Choose one of the following equipment types for comparison: (1) Digital Imaging Systems; (2) Image Manipulation Capabilities and Processing software (i.e., MUSICA, EVP, UNIQUE, etc.); or (3) PACS/RISsystems;

Be sure to include the components in your report as indicated for each equipment type below.

Required Report Components and Structure
In addition to the software/equipment components above, your vendor comparison paper must contain the following information and follow this structure.
• Purpose/introduction
• Body (required content)
o Compare and contrast
o May use tables or graphs
o Descriptive and concise explanation of each bulleted item for the type of equipment
