1.Thomas Jefferson was born into a wealthy family and was very lucky. He enjoyed reading and the violin growing up as a child. His father died at the age of nine and in his will he left Thomas Jefferson all of his estates. When he was 21 he inherited everything his father had and went to college to become a lawyer. He also worked as a politician and helped the American people become free away from England and helped write the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Paine was an emigrant which didn’t bother him. He paved way for the American people to want to be free from England and wrote a pamphlet that set course to help the people want freedom. These two people were very important in helping America become it’s own people and own Government. Paine had an advantage for the reason he was a white man and could do what he put his mind to. Due to his color at the time he didn’t become a slave on his way to the colonies. If he was a black man in that time period he would have been for sure a slave to someone. Both documents are targeted to every person in America who can and was able to fight against tyranny and fight for something. I believe that Thomas Jefferson didn’t write about slavery in the Declaration of Independence was due to that he owned slaves and he knew he was wrong about it but others didn’t like how he was trying to in a way end slavery and try to be able to free their own slaves. Paine wrote on to people to challenge him in ways that it would benefit them to be connected to Great Britain but he knew that it greatly had to many cons about it. Jefferson focuses on the king more to let everyone know what he doesn’t do for the states. He refused laws that would help the public, forbid his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance, he neglected the laws that would help the states, he refused to pass laws for the accommodation of large districts of people unless they were tyrants, he called upon legislative bodies at unusual places and away from public records, and many other things he neglected or was terrible with.
