I agree with the position that researchers should be advocates for social justice rather than being value free in their research. It is important for sociologists and researchers to main their objectivity and remain neutral. However, it is more significant for the sociologists to use their findings to promote social justice in the society. It is because sociologists could help in influencing social issues and enhancing justice due to the understanding of the issues as well as they have a significant grasp of the social aspects. Thus, researchers should put more efforts in pushing for solutions to potential social problems rather than staying neutral in their findings.

Before administering a survey to other students, there are two ethical considerations that should be addressed. The first ethical consideration is getting informed consent from each research participant. Informed consent is a critical element of ethical principles for the respect of other people and is effectively improved through allowing people to make their choice. The informed consent disclosure should give the students adequate information about the survey to be administered and the costs and benefits of making relevant choices. To ensure informed consent, it will be critical to create appropriate documentation to get oral and written informed consent.
