Question description
There are 5 forum discussion questions that need answers with references.I’m only accepting cheeper bids. nothing more than $10 but il tip more.Question 1:Click here to read “Think globally, act locally” then answer the following question.
1.
Consider a community that you are familiar with, whether you are living
in the place where you grew up or in a different community at the
present time. What issues do you see around you that could be alleviated
by the idea to “think globally, act locally”? Keep in mind that we are focusing on the power of the individual citizen, as opposed to government solutions, etc.
What is the local
issue and how does it relate to global issues? On a global level,
explain what actors create/perpetuate the issue, if applicable, or
conversely what actors work to address the issue and how?
(Be sure to think about what could be done by who on the local level to prepare for the final assignment in this class.)
2. Please be sure to cite your sources in Turabian format.
Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words.
Question 2:Enhanced communication and transportation has allowed for the growth of
networks. What are the pros and cons of this? Refer to both civil and
uncivil networks. (Hint: this is discussed in this week’s notes, but
make sure to make reference to the readings as well.)
Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words.
Question 3:MNCs
and globalization go hand-in-hand. After reading this week’s lesson,
find an MNC and describe ways it has been a good citizen or a bad
citizen. Don’t use Nestle since it is described in the lesson.
Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words.
Question 4:This
week we’re focusing on states and the concepts of sovereignty, power
and governance. There are vast differences between strong states like
the US and weak states like the Congo. After reviewing CFR’s Crisis Guide on Eastern Congo
explain why it is considered a weak state. Please be sure to support
your thoughts with references to the course materials and please be sure
to use Turabian style citations. Make sure to define your terms.
Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words
Question 5:As
explained in the lesson notes, IGOs are supranational organizations
that are heavily connected to regional or international security and
international law. A prime example is the UN. Today, the UN is involved
in a number of peacekeeping missions around the world. Each time the UN
intervenes it sets precedent, which could evolve into customary law.
For this forum, please visit the UN peacekeeping homepage
and choose one current or past mission to focus on. For that mission,
explain the circumstances that created the need to intervene
(background), the purpose of the mission (mandate) and any interesting
facts and figures about it. Be sure to use more than one source and incorporate references to course material. Please
be sure to paraphrase and cite the information rather than quoting it. I
recommend thinking of it as telling the story behind the mission much
like the producers did in the movie Black Hawk Down. What happened and
what did the UN do about it? Is there something unique about the mission
that is setting precedent or impacting international law?
When possible, avoid showcasing the same mission as another student.
Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 350 words
