• The selected healthcare policy is about health information security. The policy is meant to ensure data in a healthcare organization is safely collected, managed, analyzed, shared, and stored. Data breach or cyberattack is a common phenomenon in organizations and health facilities are not exceptional. The policy has various requirements including the access to restricted areas, authentication, and verification to control access to information (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2017). It also requires organizations to install systems that will track activities such as adding information, changing it or deleting it. The policy is in line with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 that requires personal information to be kept private. Suspicious people can steal personal details and use against nurses or patients to inflict harm such as theft or fraud.
• The policy has an impact on system implementation since it determines the functionality and design elements of a system. The system should enhance the safe sharing of information by including technologies such as blockchain. In other cases.
