The purpose of the research study is to find out the reasons why employee attrition continues to become a problem at General Electric. It is making the company difficult to operate since the company is incurring high costs by training new employees to take up the vacant positions. The focus of the organization is to enhance the continuity of the business by training more employees. The purpose of the research is to develop solutions for employee attrition to fix the problem. The analysis is based on identifying the challenges at the workplace that cause employee resignation at a high rate (Joy & Chiramel, 2016: 2024 – Do my homework – Help write my assignment online). The purpose of the research is to develop solutions for a healthy work environment that will prompt employee commitment and reduce rate of attrition.
The research will involve various stakeholders including employees and management. The management is interested in finding out the reasons why the employees are quitting their positions in order to fix the problem. Personal and Professional Reflection
The ethical considerations that were observed during the project include obtaining consent, ensuring confidentiality of the data collected, respecting the dignity of the participants, and seeking voluntary participation. The ethical considerations were important in protecting the welfare of the participants and enhancing the quality of the research.
Data integrity means that the data is accurate and reliable. It is important since it ensures that the findings are reliable for decision-making. Data integrity is enhanced by ensuring data completeness, accuracy, validity, and timeliness. The storage of the data should also be safe to avoid unauthorized access which can compromise the reliability of data.
Data analytics is important to my professional life since it helps me to analyze raw data and make conclusions. It is important since it helps derive crucial information about a phenomenon. The current project has proved that data analytics is important while trying to uncover information on the reasons for employee attrition.
While approaching collaborative and project management needs I would focus on the various factors affecting the research. For example, I would focus on the independent and dependent variables comprehensively to understand the relationship between variables. The intention is to provide a clear explanation through in-depth analytics.
The teams will be essential in future research projects as sources of crucial data. They will be crucial in gathering reliable data. I will also utilize them to gain access to carry out research in their fields or organizations. I will also consult them while carrying out predictive research to match the results and develop better predictions.
The capstone project has been a learning experience at a personal level since I have realized some aspects of research that I was not aware of. At a professional level, I have met various people who have enriched my knowledge of research.
The capstone project has been important since I have engaged various SNHU professionals that we had not interacted with before. I have also learned various aspects of SNHU such as their research standards which are important in building my professional career.
My strengths include excellent communication and creating networks with other people. During the capstone project, my strengths were manifested in relating to various stakeholders of the research. My weakness is following protocols. The weakness was evident when I was required to collaborate with different officers to get permission.
The capstone project has a connection with the academic program since it helps enhance academic skills. For example, in the academic program, I learned writing and communication skills which are important in the implementation of the capstone project. I had to communicate with various stakeholders and compile the project.
I will apply what I have learned in my future academic life by carrying out future research in a professional manner. I have learned better skills in collecting data such as data confidentiality and consent of participants to improve data integrity.
The capstone project has been helpful in learning ethical approaches in decision-making. I have learned that if ethical standards are not followed a whole project can be compromised. Therefore, I have learned that ethical standards should be followed while making decisions and serving others.
The coursework has helped me to improve my critical thinking and analytical skills. The reason is that I had to apply critical thinking while collecting data. Analytical skills were used while generating conclusions from the data collected.
