My five-week marketing manager internship is the RED BULL Company. The reason behind my choice is the fact that I love the product itself and secondly it has been my dream to work in an energy drink company. Back in the year 2007, Microsoft launched Windows Vista and highly marketed it. Unfortunately, the product was widely rejected by the customers as they found it complicated to use and rather preferred the downgrade to windows XP. When I was assigned to solve the issue by the Microsoft Company it came to my realization that the upgrades were highly worked on the product and no educational manual available for the use. This was the failure of the company of not being considerate of their customers which are an essential part of marketing. With that discovery, I made an advice to the company to create gradual small changes on product upgrade and provide information to people indicating how to adapt to the changes and their benefits. The current windows operating systems generated explains my success.
In conclusion, I will go back in time on my market research findings and advice the management to always consider their customers before creating and launching a product.
