There are various prevention measures against pressures ulcers. In conclusion, in applying the research reviews methods, the validity of research can averred. Pressure ulcers have caused the government huge sum of money over the last decade. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has recognized pressure sores or ulcers as hospital-acquired illnesses (HAIs). With this, to avoid the continued persistence of the ailment, CMS developed a regulation emphasizing that each healthcare facility will have to gather for the costs associated with the pressure ulcer. Their approach has seen the cases of pressure illnesses drop significantly. This has allowed the healthcare facility to develop its Medicare strategy. One of the strategies which have been used to prevent pressure ulcers is the foam mattresses. These mattresses increase the surface area thus distributing the force equally across a wide area. With this, the pressure subjected per unit area is reduced in the run. Additionally, foam mattresses are cost-effective as compared with other means of preventing pressure ulcers such as the profiling bed.
Substance abuse has been in the rise. Curbing against this menace has been the ultimate aim for many institutions such as the correctional facilities and motivation groups. With the rising cases of opioid abuse, monitoring and advising the young generation about the impacts of drug abuse will lead to reduced abuse of these drugs. To vividly understand this, the review of research can be analyzed in three modes; mixed research, qualitative and quantitative research. A thorough review of research aids in checking on the validity of the study. From the scientific perceptive, both the qualitative and quantitative review methods are scientific.
