In fat metabolism, the Acetyl CoA is formed from fats, the fats breakdown into glycerol and fatty acids. The fatty acids are then oxidized to form Acetyl CoA. The carrier CoA accepts acetyl groups produced in both metabolisms and brings them to be used in the Krebs cycle.
