1. Create a vignette of a hypothetical client. Describe the client’s demographics, as well as their presenting concerns.
2. Identify the assessment tool(s) you will use to determine appropriate diagnosis, assessment of functioning/impairment, and treatment progress (these should be real assessment tools, not a made-up tools). Provide justification that these assessment tool(s) have demonstrated validity/effectiveness with your client (i.e., cite studies). (HINT: there is a fantastic list of assessment tools in Appendix D (p. 277) of your textbook and I recommend referring to this list, though you are in no way limited to just this list).

4. Describe any aspects of empirically supported relationships that you will be mindful to use with your client and why.
5. Note how your procedures (assessment and treatment strategies) are ethically compliant and culturally sensitive (please refer to the ACA Ethical Standards; however, I know you haven’t taken your ethics class yet, so my expectations here are that this is pretty general commentary)
