In the article “It Ain’t Easy Being Bisexual on TV”, author Amy Zimmerman offers a truly comprehensive analysis on the concept of bisexuality and the way in which it has become the subject of an interesting debate within the society (Amy 556). In rendering the inherent dangers that come along with the stereotyping initiatives through the media, Zimmerman explains the potential danger that such ideas have on the children within the society. This essay looks at the role of the media in perpetuating the stereotyping of persons who are bisexual in nature from the perspective rendered by Amy Zimmerman.

Right from the onset of the article, Zimmerman expresses her strong resentment for the manner in which bisexuals are handled by a majority of the members of the society. For instance, she captures that the television and media industry have been particularly reluctant to offer the required platform for bisexual models to express their perspectives (Amy 561). Through this argument, Zimmerman attempts to persuade the media fraternity to embrace equality by giving the minority members of the society such as bisexuals the platform for them to air their views as well.
In conclusion, the arguments by Zimmerman are highly relevant to the societal setting at the time of her writing. However, this analysis suggests that the passing years have led to a decline in the negative manner in which the media embrace bisexuality.
