What was Francis Henry Galton’s major contribution to forensic science? Francis Henry Galton’s major contribution to forensic science was fingerprinting. Although he wasn’t the first person with the idea of fingerprinting, he was more successful with the idea and the scientific knowledge that he knew. 2. In 1814 he published the first book on poisons and how they affect animals.

McCrone brought the microscope into the forensic science field. The microscope is a great use for close up examination of objects used. McCrone ended up becoming the world’s preeminent microscopist.
